We are looking for a Sous Chef who is excited about working with novel ingredients and concepts. This curiosity is expressed through independent inquiry and learning (new ingredients, unfamiliar techniques, understanding allergies and changes). The ideal candidate will have a swift, competitive nature and joy in working under pressure, taking pride in the work they do. The ability to see what is going on in a kitchen at any given time and provide support where necessary is a must. As well as the ability to assess, execute, and refine cleanliness and organization standards, can functionally manage different stations and support the team as a tournant and has a strong understanding of how long tasks take and how to effectively manage time throughout the day.
Preferred requirements: 2+ years experience in a fine dining environment.
