Vrban Family Farm is hiring workers for the summer season. We are a family-owned fruit farm located on John Street in Lincoln. We grow sweet cherries, peaches, apricots, plums and raspberries. Our fruit is premium quality, sold at local markets.

 About the Job

  • Learn about operating a small fruit farm
  • Hands on learning and experience including
  • Spring preharvest activities – fruit tree pruning, frost mitigation, soil preparation, blossom & pollination, pesticide use & storage, thinning & other strategies for better fruit quality
  • Summer harvest activities – harvesting fruit, packing for various retail markets, quality control, proper cold storage, food safety, pesticide use & storage, irrigation & other strategies for managing weather & climate change
  • Food safety, regulatory & environmental considerations



  • Full Time 35-45 hours per week
  • June 12 – September 1
  • Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, some Saturdays
  • Experience not required, we will teach you as we go
  • You must be reliable, hard working and willing to learn
  • Must be comfortable working on a ladder for pruning, thinning or harvesting
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work on time


$16.50 per hour base + up to $3 per hour earned bonus
